Product Description
Rubber Solution is a natural rubber-based, solvent-borne adhesive developed for footwear, leather goods and related industrial applications. It is designed to provide dependable temporary bonding where stitching or subsequent processing is required and where very high final bond strength is not essential.
APPLICATION AREAS
Rubber Solution is suitable for bonding and positioning a wide range of substrates used in footwear uppers and leather goods, including various leathers, selected natural and synthetic fabrics, foams, cellulose boards, leather insole boards and canvas.

ADHESIVE APPLICATION
- Ensure that both bonding surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil or any other contamination before adhesive application.
- Apply the adhesive uniformly to both substrates using a suitable brush.
- For highly porous substrates, such as leather, apply a second coat after allowing the first coat to dry for 5 - 10 minutes.
- Allow an open time of at least 5 - 10 minutes. Do not exceed 20 minutes, as prolonged open time or loss of tack may reduce coalescence and bond performance.
- Bring the coated surfaces together within the effective tack period and apply firm, uniform pressure to ensure proper contact.
- Initial contact strength is generally adequate to resist spring-back. Final bond strength continues to develop over approximately 24 hours.
SAFETY AND HANDLING PRECAUTIONSStore the product in a dry area below 35 oC. As the adhesive is highly flammable, storage and application areas must be kept away from naked flames, sparks and other sources of ignition. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use to minimise solvent evaporation. Ensure adequate ventilation in the workplace. A detailed Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is available upon request.
PACKINGAvailable Pack Sizes: 5 Litre and 25 Litre

Method of applicationMake sure that the surfaces to be bonded are eve, clean, dry, and free from grease oil. A coat of adhesive is to be applied uniformly on both the surfaces to be joined. Porous substrate like leather may require two coats for superior bonding. This Adhesive is used for temporary purpose. Wait for 10 minutes to allow the solvent to evaporate. Place the coated surfaces one above other, while the adhesive remains tacky. Pres the coated surfaces one above other, while the adhesive remains tacky. Press the coated surfaces firmly together.
CautionHighly inflammable. Replace lid immediately after partial use. Store in a cool and dry place.
